According to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, the project involves resurfacing nearly five miles of SH-29 from the east of US-69 extending east.

Wyrick (D-Fairland) said the State Transportation Commission awarded a contract of more than $980,080 on the project to Glover & Associates. The Muskogee company was the lowest of three bidders for the job, said Cox (R-Grove).

Once construction begins, the project is estimated to be completed within less than two months.
