GOLF TIP OF THE WEEK
Do you want longer and straighter drives? Of course, we all do!
When a ball is teed up it is inviting us to “LAUNCH IT!”
Most golfers swing at a teed up ball just like it is on the turf. When a ball is teed up, you actually have to keep your weight back longer and literally feel like you are helping the ball up. Try this drill: Set up normally to hit your driver. Once set, then bring front foot instep all the way to touching your back foot heel. Back foot should be solid on the ground and the front foot should have toe only on the ground while instep is touching heel of back foot. Hit about 4 or 5 balls from this akward position. You will experience two primary feelings: 1-No lateral motion and 2-you have to launch the ball.
NEW ADAMS GOLF STAFF Announcement
I just signed a STAFF contract with Adams Golf.
This means that we will always have the newest Adams product available at the best possible pricing. Also we will have the factory’s full support on getting whatever we might need, when we need it. I have already sold quite a bit of ADAMS this spring, and I know that these golfers will do better. Contact me before you buy any Adams products – we will both be glad you did.
GOLF JOKE of the WEEK
From my friend Chuck Culbertson
A Golfer’s Dilemma: While playing with Chuck recently we had a rather pressure packed wager going in to the last hole and we were tied. I hit my drive long and straight down the middle. Chuck hit a big slice in to the trees and weeds. Because I am a good sport, I helped Chuck look for his ball for about 6 or 7 minutes. He said for me to go ahead and hit my ball and he would look just a few more minutes before taking his penalty. I hit a very good shot up to about 15 feet from the pin. Then I heard a yell. “I found it!” and whack the ball came out of the trees and weeds and woods to about an inch from the cup. Now, my dilemma. Do I tell that stinkin, lying No Good that I have his ball in my pocket!
