PAAS (Peaceful Animal Adoption Shelter) is fixin’ to open to the public. We had our Grand Opening on Saturday the 18th. Thanks to the 250+ people who toured the facility. Now that we’re in the process of accepting animals, we will no longer be able to give a tour. The week of the 20th we’re busy getting everything ready to accept dogs, puppies, cats and kittens. Many of them have been patiently waiting for a very long time.
For you – the readers – – here’s what you need to know. And please share it with your friends. We will accept owner-surrender pets on Monday and Tuesday of each week – by appointment ONLY. It takes about 20 minutes to test, evaluate each animal. Waiting in line is not in the best interest of the animals. Call 918-256-7227 to set an appointment. Please understand there are more people who will be calling than we have kennels/condos. We will work with each of you to find a viable solution.
The dogs and cats that have been abandoned and are currently in the Vinita municipal pound will be our first concern. They desperately need a safe place. We will work with Chief Bobby Floyd and surrounding municipalities to maximize our resources to rescue.
The best gift you can give all of us in rescue is Spay/Neuter all your dogs and cats. Watch for clinics – make a reservation and to quote Larry the Cable Guy – – get ‘er done!!!!!!!!!!!!!
