“Kitten Season” is here!  What all animal welfare organizations and animal shelters dread – kitten season.  The time of year when cats give birth to their litters of kittens, and people bring them into shelters because they don’t know what else to do with them.  Kitten season lasts from now until fall when the weather gets colder.  Second Chance Pet Rescue of Grand lake is housing a full house of kittens and cats and is in immediate need of adoption homes for these beautiful kittens and wonderful cats.

June has been designated as “Adopt a Shelter Cat” Month, and adoptive homes are needed today!  All adoptions include spay/neuter, vaccinations, vet checked, and microchip.  Visit Second Chance Pet Rescue today to choose your special feline for a very low adoption fee.  Contact Second Chance Pet Rescue at 918-786-7630 or email inquiries to hsgrove@att.net for additional information about the June “Adopt a Shelter Kitten/Cat” special.  Second Chance Pet Rescue is located two miles east of downtown Grove on Highway 10.

Second Chance Pet Rescue has seen the boom in kitten intake as a result of long days and warm weather, which are the natural indicators to cats that it is the best time of the year to produce more kittens.  We need the help of the public to minimize the number of kittens and cats who come into our shelter.  Spay or neuter your pets today!  Second Chance Pet Rescue offers a weekly low-cost spay and neuter program.  Contact them now to help end the number of homeless animals.  Everyone needs to be a part of the solution – spread the word about the importance to spay or neuter your pets to help prevent homeless animals.  Like us on Facebook.com to share this news.

Monetary donations are needed to care for the many surrendered animals living at Second Chance Pet Rescue.  All donations are tax-deductible.  Won’t you help our animal welfare organization continue its mission by mailing a check to P.O. Box 451205, Grove OK  74345-1205, or donate electronically via the Second Chance’s secure website www.doitforthepets.com.  It is now easy to make automated monthly donations by bank ACH debit.  Contact Second Chance Pet Rescue to complete an ACH debit form or download a copy from its website.
