GOLF TIP OF THE WEEK
Weight distribution on your feet should NOT be equal!!
First on a full swing, your weight should favor (during the back swing) more weight on your trailing or back side. Second on a finesse or less than full swing your weight should favor your lead side. It is also important to feel that you are not on your toes or heels. Find the middle by rocking forward and backward and settle in between. Whatever you decide on, try to repeat every single time you set up. Consistency comes from repetition, sometimes even if it is wrong. Take a lesson to find out the right or most correct set up.
GOLF JOKE of the WEEK
Overheard recently at Shangri-La: Ron Young was asked by Roy Rice if Ron knew how much a golf flagstick weighed? Ron said no and Roy said “Well if you would ever pick one up and help put it back in the cup, you might!” Just teasing, of course.
Then Ron was telling us about a new and really difficult course he played on up north. The only experienced caddie though, was elderly, Ron hired him anyway. Ron hit his ball and asked the caddy, “How was that?” The elderly caddy said your swing was great. Then Ron asked where the ball went? The caddy said “I forget”.
From my Monkey Island friend Gerald Barry:
A woman went to a pet shop and immediately spotted a large, beautiful parrot.
There was a sign on the cage that said $50.00. “Why so little?” she asked the pet store owner. The owner looked at her and said, “Look, I should tell you first that this bird used to live in a house of ill repute, and sometimes it says some pretty vulgar stuff.”
The woman thought about this, but decided she had to have the bird anyway. She took it home and hung the bird’s cage up in her living room and waited for it to say something. The bird looked around the room, then at her, and said, “New house, new madam.” The woman was a bit shocked at the implication, but then thought “that’s really not so bad.” When her two teenage daughters returned from school, the bird saw them and said, “New house, new madam, new girls.” The girls and the woman were a bit offended but then began to laugh about the situation considering how and
where the parrot had been raised.
Moments later, the woman’s husband Gerald came home from work. The bird looked at him and said, “Hi Gerald !”
KEEP IT IN THE MIDDLE !
