GOLF TIP OF THE WEEK
I always like to use something from a recent lesson because it is fresh in my mind and almost always applies to most golfers. So this week is in reference to your trailing knee. For right handers it is the right knee and for lefties the left. The swing error that happens is that the knee slides back during the backswing. It should not move but an inch or two at the most. I describe it this way. The knee has to remain beneath the back or trailing hip. If it slides past a position of support, your swing will have an abundance of lateral motion resulting in real erratic ball contact. Try feeling the knee flexed and tucked inward right before your takeaway and try to keep it there.

GOLF JOKE of the WEEK
From my friend Chuck Montgomery over at Patricia Island.
- Golf is the art of playing “FETCH” with yourself.
- The reason the pro tells you to keep your eyes on the ball is so you can’t see him laughing.
- How come you can hit a 2 acre fairway 10% of the time and a 2” branch 90% of the time?
- I was 3 under today: One under a tree, one under a bush and one under water.
- I shoot golf in the 70’s. If it gets any colder, I quit.
- The call it GOLF because all of the other four letter words are taken.
KEEP IT IN THE MIDDLE !
Steve
